When the dog bites, when the bee stings...

I got a bee sting yesterday.

Bringing the trash cans back up to the side of the house.

Where, evidently, a nest of bees has taken up residence.

I did everything you're NOT supposed to do around bees.

I screamed. I jumped. I flailed my arms wildly. I ran like heck.

One particularly enterprising bee found my elbow and stung it. Hard. It throbbed for hours afterwards. Thankfully, I'm not allergic to bee stings, so I only had to deal with a little discomfort for awhile.

I really hope none of my neighbors saw me and got it on videotape, because if they did, they will win $10,000 from America's Funniest Home Videos.

Bees? What are bees doing hanging around in January? :-) The worst was when I took Bode hiking a few months ago and he was being MOOODY. I made him go anyway. Turns out a bee had stung his little hand; I felt so horrible!

You are too funny!

egads! I totally would have reacted the exact same way!

Hope the sting is out and the worst is over!

Oh no!! I hope it gets better soon.

Hey, when did you switch your blog address again? I was getting it on another one, so I haven't been getting your updates.

Hope you're well.

:-) Susan

Ouch! That is one of my irrational fears.

Maybe the neighbors just thought you went pentecostal on em and were whoopin' and hollerin' in a spir'tual type way.

Probably not.

:D

By the by, I see you have used the Newsies quote from my movie challenge in your headline thing-a-ma-bob. I approve.

I love you.

I had a delightful time with you and Kiddo (have we decided to take a break from "Lance"?) this weekend.

I'll most likely kill you in the morning.
